Job description

Fleming-Agri Products is currently recruiting for a Pre-Production Coordinator to join our growing team. Fleming Agri Products is a leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery based in Newbuildings, Northern Ireland. The company promotes a value for money product portfolio that is sold extensively throughout the UK, Ireland, and several significant export markets. All manufacturing facilities are sited in Newbuildings with metal processing and finishing the primary activities.

About The Role

As the Pre-Production co-ordinator you will play a vital role in the company as part of the pre-production team. Overseeing the day to day running of pre-production functions you will ensure that components are assembled, correctly categorised, and distributed to the relevant work areas optimising the smooth flow of products across all manufacturing departments. Your main responsibility will be to optimise the reliability and cost performance of the existing pre-production process.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate components and parts to ensure correct preparation and efficient supply across manufacturing departments as and when required, and liaise with internal departments on all profile part requirements.

2. Monitor stock levels and partake in annual stock take, and ensure components/parts are ordered in a timely manner by the purchasing department as required

3. Oversee preproduction lists to ensure accuracy

4. Liaise with the engineering department to ensure preproduction lists are updated as necessary with relevant requirements and product changes

5. Ensure all quality standards are maintained and correct processes are followed for component/part

6. Report any delays/shortages to management

7. Maintain accurate record keeping, and ensure labelling, sign off sheets, serial number plates, and product manuals are completed and available as required

8. Take phone calls and assist with warranty claims/shortages/damages as required

9. Comply with all health and safety requirements/standards and maintain good housekeeping throughout your work area.

10. Any other duties as required

About The Company

The Fleming Agri factory is based in Newbuildings, North West Northern Ireland. The purpose built factory was established in 1983 on a modest half acre site.Over the years the factory has had several expansion developments including a £1.1m expansion which was completed in 2013. More recently a new 22,000 square feet factory has been opened mid 2020 for the manufacture of larger capacity trailers and vacuum tankers.With the pace of new technology moving so fast, the company embraces a policy of continuous improvement, involving the most up to date design packages, CNC production machinery and processes including robotic welding.

Desired Criteria

  • Preferred working knowledge of Excel
  • Good telephone etiquette preferred
  • Previous experience with forklift operations desired
