About Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust

We own two acute hospitals: Maidstone Hospital, Kent’s home oncology centre, offering a wide range of complex and routine surgical and medical services with advanced diagnostic facilities; and Tunbridge Wells Hospital, the first NHS hospital in England to provide ensuite single rooms to all in-patients, recognized nationally for its patient-safe facilities and as a Trauma Centre with state-of-the-art facilities.

Role Overview

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Band 5 Registered Nurses/Practitioners to join our Pre-Operative Assessment Team at Tunbridge Wells Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-assessment Practitioners play a vital role in delivering safe and efficient pre-operative care by optimizing patients for surgery. You will collaborate with GPs, Anaesthetists, and other team members to provide comprehensive assessments ensuring excellent patient and family/carer preparation for surgical procedures.

Innovative Practice

The clinic has recently implemented a state-of-the-art digital preoperative assessment programme aimed at providing the highest standard of surgical care.

Specialties Covered

Assessing patients across specialties including ENT, Orthopaedics, Urology, Gynaecology, Breast, and General Surgery.
