Pre-Construction Manager - Civil Engineering - Waste Water project

Your new company

A leading civil engineering main contractor, delivering high-quality projects across the UK, are looking to recruit a Pre-Construction Manager - Waste Water. With a strong pipeline of work and a collaborative culture, they are now looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with an experienced and driven Pre-construction Project Manager.

Your new role

As a Pre-Construction Manager, you will be primarily involved in the effective management of single and/or multiple projects in the pre-construction stage, with a continued supporting role in project(s) as required by the business. You will liaise with the Pre-Construction Director and the overall team in respect of upcoming projects, assisting in overall planning and programme delivery.
Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the commercial team to ensure financial accuracy in final bid submissions
  • Work with design partners to develop compliant and competitive designs
  • Coordinate electrical design elements to ensure integration and efficiency
  • Attend meetings with main contractors and clients, leading communication with design teams and specialist supply chain partners
  • Review all drawings, schedules, and technical submittals prior to client submission for comments or approvals
  • Support contracts managers and procurement teams to ensure all purchases meet specification and drawing requirements
  • Liaise with specialist subcontractors and suppliers to ensure bid submissions are fully compliant

  • Strong understanding of water projects
  • Familiarity with NEC3/4 contracts and construction methodologies
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive, self-starting approach with a passion for preconstruction
