Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment, a well-established joinery and interior fit out contractor, seeks a Pre-Construction Manager to lead planning, programming, and design coordination from Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. You will manage a CAD team and coordinate with clients, driving projects from tender through construction.

The role offers £70,000 to £100,000, with travel to sites across London and the Home Counties, a strong benefits package, and immediate start considerations for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in pre-construction, planning, design management or technical management within the construction industry
• Strong programming experience and ability to manage CAD/technical teams
• Experience coordinating design teams and CAD/BIM tools is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of planning and programming projects through tender and construction stages
• Produce and manage detailed project programmes using industry software
• Manage and develop a CAD team within the pre-construction department
• Act as a key link between construction teams, clients and internal design functions
• Attend client and design meetings to understand requirements and communicate them to the wider team
• Present project programmes to clients and stakeholders
• Support design coordination and resolve design/technical issues during pre-construction
• Coordinate construction methodology, sequencing, and lead times in project plans
• Coordinate with project/construction teams to ensure smooth transition from pre-construction into delivery
• Undertake regular site visits and attend meetings across London and Home Counties
