Pre-Construction Manager - c£Excellent plus benefits - Building Services (Decarbonisation)


Pre-Construction Manager required to support our clients expanding pre-construction team in managing pre-construction processes and deliverables on multiple large scale projects throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe.

Responsibilities
  1. Appraisal of project documentation received to determine the project brief and scope of works to be outlined to the pre-construction team.
  2. Evaluate project requirements to set out an effective project delivery strategy and project team deliverables.
  3. Lead the pre-construction efforts, collaborating with the design team, estimating department and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive project proposals.
  4. Identify value engineering alternatives that can benefit project delivery and cost.
  5. Identify potential risks associated with the project delivery and provide solutions to address them through internal team workshops.
  6. Lead on processes and deliverables for the pre-construction team to adhere to whilst maintaining focus on agreed programme delivery dates.
  7. Collaborate with the pre-construction department coordinators and BIM teams to develop required documentation, 3D modelling and 2D drawings to assist with project delivery.
  8. Coordinate with external consultants to ensure compliance with project requirements and in alignment with relevant regulations and standards.
  9. Review developed deliverables by project team across all disciplines - M&E building services, BMS controls, structural, and construction to ensure all meets project requirements prior to issue to client for approval.
  10. Host client project meetings with the relevant internal and client teams ensuring client project requirements are being met and continued progression on project delivery.
  11. Host internal project team meetings to review the status of project deliverables to review and raise any potential project risks with the team and agree corrective actions where applicable.
  12. Liaise and assist the site operations teams assigned to projects to deliver the offsite construction and onsite installation philosophy.
  13. Lead handover meetings to the operations teams at an agreed project stage.
  14. Prepare and issue weekly status reports on the pre-construction deliverables.
  15. Monitor the progress and quality of pre-construction activities.
  16. Occasional travel may be required to complete site appraisal surveys on new projects.
  17. Any other duties deemed necessary by Management.
Essential Criteria:
  1. Strong building services background or similar.
  2. Competent understanding of mechanical systems in medium to large commercial projects - c£5M+.
  3. Competent understanding of multi-disciplinary design processes and design coordination.
  4. Excellent leadership and communication skills and previous experience in managing a team.
  5. Excellent time management skills.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages - Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams.
