A leading main contractor in the UK is seeking a Pre-Construction Manager to enhance project delivery standards. The candidate must have extensive project management experience, strong planning abilities, and a background in construction. Job Description
Our client is one of the hottest Modular Build Main Contractors in the UK with a great pipeline of work having secured several major framework contracts in recent months. We have been asked to supply a Pre-Construction Manager to a forward-thinking business, constantly challenging quality standards in both production and delivery, and who are fully committed to their employees and their personal development.
Pre-Construction Manager responsibilities:
- Programming / Planning - drafting the Master Programme to roadmap each project.
- Design - working with Design Team, value engineering the projects to establish the best working design.
- Procurement - working with the Senior QS on each project to sub-contractors are hired on a best quality, best price basis.
- Resource Management - making sure that the Project Team has all the staff it needs to perform.
- Delivery - supporting the Project Teams on site where needed.
Experience required:
- Minimum 5 years Project Management experience.
- Strong Programming / Planning skills - MS Project.
- Good Contractual knowledge - JCT and NEC.
- Good Design skills - value engineering, CAD.
- Good Communication / Reporting skills.
- Previous Delivery experience working for a Main Contractor.
- A background of modular experience would be a huge benefit, however all construction backgrounds will be considered for this role.
