The Opportunity
A dynamic and growing built environment consultancy is looking for a Pre-Construction Lead to manage the front end of a high-impact project portfolio. This is a senior leadership role offering genuine influence across strategy, people, and delivery. You'll take charge of early-stage planning, stakeholder engagement, and programme oversight-ensuring projects are set up for success from day one.

Key Responsibilities
·Lead the planning, mobilisation and programming of a wide range of capital projects and advisory commissions.
·Oversee the development of robust pre-construction information (PCI), feasibility studies, and strategic briefs.
·Manage internal teams and external consultants to ensure high-quality delivery aligned to time, budget, and client expectations.
·Support and mentor a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring best practice, compliance, and consistent output.
·Engage with senior stakeholders, including public sector clients and delivery partners, to drive early project success.
·Lead on risk management, change control, and strategic client reporting (sustainability, procurement, fire safety, BIM etc.).
·Champion collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across pre-construction services.

Ideal Candidate
·Strong leadership experience in pre-construction, programme or project management (public or private sector).
·Solid understanding of RIBA stages, CDM regulations, and early-phase project reporting.
·Confident working with clients, consultants, and technical teams.
·Track record of managing multi-project programmes and guiding teams through early design and planning phases.
·Professional, collaborative, and commercially aware.
