Job summary

Eurosafe is seeking a Pre-Construction Designer/Estimator based at our Head Office in Sheffield. You will join a small team to create and illustrate pre-contract designs and layouts for fall protection and access systems, collaborating with sales and fabricators to produce accurate drawings and specifications.

This role suits someone who enjoys problem solving, teamwork and precise drawing work, with the motivation to deliver first‑class results on UK projects for industry-leading clients.

Qualifications

• Previous use of in‑house systems and standard drawing office procedures for design processes.
• Good communicator via telephone / email.
• Proven experience of working to deadlines and programme.
• Can do attitude who can well under pressure.
• Willing to go above and beyond to achieve high level results
• Site surveying experience advantageous.
• Strong team mentality

• Interpret customer requirements via communicating with internal sales department and client to produce design approval drawings.
• To aid developing product database
• Assist with surveys and gathering all relevant information required
• Liaise with fabricators when required during the manufacturing stage to ensure that the designs are accurately realised
• Completion of calculations for projects

Job Description

Due to ongoing business growth, we are presently looking to add a Pre‑Construction Designer /Estimator to our busy team. The role involves working within a small team to create and illustrate pre‑contract designs & layouts for working at height equipment such as fall protection systems, abseil access systems, suspended access equipment, guardrail systems, stairs, ladders, roof walkways and other architectural and structural metalwork.

The position will suit an individual that enjoys team working, problem solving and technical drawing who is willing to work hard to produce first‑class results and gain invaluable experience working with industry leading clients on the most prestigious construction projects in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret customer requirements via communicating with internal sales department and client to produce design approval drawings.

To aid developing product database

Assist with surveys and gathering all relevant information required

Liaise with fabricators when required during the manufacturing stage to ensure that the designs are accurately realised

Completion of calculations for projects
