Job summary

SER Limited in Dudley (Head Office) is seeking a Pre-Commissioning Engineer to join our flushing and water treatment team. You will perform pre-commission cleaning, back flushing and dosing across heating and chilled water systems, while supporting senior engineers on projects across the UK.

You will operate flushing rigs and related equipment, ensure safety and compliance with BG29, BG50, ACoP L8 and HSG274, and help generate reports for client sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year's experience in water treatment or building services.
• Experience with conventional and CPC flushing.
• Legionella Risk Assessor qualification.
• Knowledge of BG29, BG50, ACoP L8 and HSG274.
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Pre-commission cleaning, flushing and chemical cleaning of closed systems.
• Operate flushing rigs, pumps and filtration equipment.
• Carry out water hygiene tasks including TMV servicing, tank cleaning and calorifier inspections.
• Ensure compliance with BG29, BG50, ACoP L8 and HSG274 guidance.
• Complete reports and maintain high Health & Safety standards.
• Support project delivery across a variety of client sites.

Pre-Commissioning Engineer

Location: Dudley (Head Office) with UK-wide travel

Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE + OTE + Company Van + Benefits

The Opportunity

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist engineering business delivering pre-commission cleaning, closed system flushing, water treatment and water hygiene services across commercial, healthcare, industrial, pharmaceutical and mission-critical environments throughout the UK.

Due to continued growth, they're looking for an experienced Flushing Engineer to join their expanding team.

The Role

You'll carry out flushing and cleaning of closed systems, including back flushing, chemical cleaning and dosing across heating and chilled water systems. You'll also support senior engineers on larger projects while ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with industry standards.
