Job summary

SER Limited in the UK is seeking a Pre-Commissioning Engineer for the Dudley Head Office with UK-wide travel. You will carry out flushing and cleaning of closed systems and support senior engineers on larger projects while ensuring safety and industry standards.

Minimum 1 year in water treatment or building services is required. Knowledge of BG29, BG50, ACoP L8 and HSG274 is expected, along with heating and chilled water system understanding and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year's experience in water treatment or building services.
• Experience with conventional and CPC filtration flushing.
• Legionella Risk Assessor qualification.
• Knowledge of BG29, BG50, ACoP L8 and HSG274.
• Understanding of heating and chilled water systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Flexible to travel and stay away when required.

Responsibilities

• Pre-commission cleaning, flushing and chemical cleaning of closed systems.
• Operate flushing rigs, pumps and filtration equipment.
• Carry out water hygiene tasks including TMV servicing, tank cleaning and calorifier inspections.
• Ensure compliance with BG29, BG50, ACoP L8 and HSG274 guidance.
• Complete reports and maintain high Health & Safety standards.
• Support project delivery across a variety of client sites.

Pre-Commissioning Engineer

Location: Dudley (Head Office) with UK-wide travel

Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE + OTE + Company Van + Benefits

The Opportunity

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist engineering business delivering pre-commission cleaning, closed system flushing, water treatment and water hygiene services across commercial, healthcare, industrial, pharmaceutical and mission-critical environments throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, they're looking for an experienced Flushing Engineer to join their expanding team.

The Role

You'll carry out flushing and cleaning of closed systems, including back flushing, chemical cleaning and dosing across heating and chilled water systems. You'll also support senior engineers on larger projects while ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with industry standards.
