Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Pre-Commission Flushing Engineer to perform pre-commission cleaning of closed heating and chilled water systems on UK-wide projects. The role offers a salary of £40,000–£50,000 with Midlands base and travel across the UK.

You will operate flushing rigs, conduct site water testing, prepare documentation, and ensure health and safety compliance while coordinating with clients and contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience in flushing and pre-commission cleaning of closed systems.
• Familiarity with BG29 and BG50 guidelines.
• Understanding of COSHH and chemical handling procedures.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel/stay away.

Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pre-Commission Flushing Engineer to join a growing and well-respected specialist engineering business. Working on commercial projects across the UK, you will be responsible for carrying out pre-commission cleaning and flushing of closed heating and chilled water systems.

Key duties include:

• Pre-commission flushing and cleaning of closed systems
• Back flushing, system cleansing, and chemical dosing
• Operating flushing rigs, pumps, and filtration equipment
• Conducting on-site water testing and sampling
• Supporting system preparation ahead of commissioning
• Completing accurate reports and documentation
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety procedures and industry standards
• Collaborating with clients, contractors, and commissioning engineers on-site

Essential requirements:

• Experience in flushing and pre-commission cleaning
