Job Opportunity: Nurse Support for Pre-Clinical Research Facility

We are seeking to recruit several nurses to support our pre-clinical research facility. The role involves providing professional nursing services to support world-leading medical research.

Employment Type: Casual basis with varied hours.

Responsibilities

1. Providing essential nursing support to ensure the care and wellbeing of animals in our care.
2. Supporting theatre procedures and post-operative care.
3. Assisting in the daily operation of the facility in compliance with the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act, relevant Health and Safety regulations, and other policies.

Candidate Requirements

1. Experience in nursing within human, veterinary, or pre-clinical environments, with relevant qualifications.
2. Experience working alongside surgeons in theatre and in preparing for procedures.
3. Strong observational skills to identify early signs of problems during recovery.
4. Good IT skills with the ability to learn new software or IT systems efficiently.
5. Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and working under pressure.
