Job summary

Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) seeks a Costing and Pre-Award specialist to support the Costing and Contract Manager in delivering high-quality, strategically informed research development services. This role focuses on costing proposals, drafting and managing contracts, and horizon scanning to inform planning.

You will liaise with funders, collaborators and internal stakeholders to ensure bids are competitive and compliant, contributing to strategic foresight and planning across QMUL and

Qualifications

• Experience in HEI or similar research environment in a pre-award role.
• Knowledge of UK and international research funding bodies, schemes, and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and senior management.

• Costing research proposals in line with funder and institutional requirements.
• Drafting and managing research contracts to ensure compliance and timely execution.
