An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated nurse to join our team as the Pre Assessment Sister, at The Platinum Medical Centre (The Wellington Hospital).
This is a great opportunity to join an excellent team that is passionate about providing exceptional care and service. You will work closely with our Surgeons and Consultant Anaesthetists to ensure patients are prepared for surgery.
The role will require the suitable candidate to be competent in taking patient medical history, assessing the patient's suitability for surgery and undertaking pre-operative tests for all our patients.
As a Sister in Pre-Operative Assessment you will conduct thorough health assessments and provide comprehensive support to patients at the Pre-Assessment clinic, enabling them to be as prepared for their procedure and subsequent recovery period.
You will review patients from multiple surgical specialities and prepare our patients for their surgery, optimise their health and help to reduce cancellations.
You will undertake pre-operative tests for all our patients and work as a key part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Essential skills key to this role are implementing and maintaining high clinical standards whilst caring for patients, enhancing staff personal development, providing guidance, support and expertise to clinical staff.
