This role requires experience in a psychodynamic framework and the ability to work autonomously within guidelines. Job description

Lambeth Secondary Care Psychological Therapies [ LSCPT] is a Complx Emotional Needs therapies pathway. which aims to provide integrated stepped care for people with complex difficulties. The pathway has a range of therapy modalities at three levels of car. 'Tier 2' offers various relational and psychodynamic interventions for people with complex needs including Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (PDP).

The purpose of the post is to provide assessments for CAT and PDP. The applicant will need to have experience of working in a psychodynamic framework and will be expected to complete 6 assessments a month, including the relevant clinical administration. There will be fortnightly psychotherapy supervision to support the decision making process. The post holder will liaise with relevant Tier leads and clinicians and gain an understanding of the different therapy offers at each tier. The applicant will also be involved in auditing the outcomes and providing regular feedback to the Pathway leads to inform service improvement.

The post will suit someone who is interested in working across teams in an integrated care manner. We are also looking for someone who can provide psychological support to people who are emotionally distressed, with sensitivity and skill in judging, and responding appropriately to the service users’ perspectives on engaging in intervention. Additionally, the ability to assess risk and readiness for change.
• To work autonomously as a Senior Adult Psychotherapist within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures.
• To undertake highly specialist assessments of referrals to CAT and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and refer appropriately to other interventions in the relational pathway.
• To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development.
• To attend supervision regularly and prepared.
• To adhere to relevant professional guidelines.
