Qualifications

  • Preferably trained in complex therapies such as Schema Focused, EMDR, CAT, and DBT.
  • Trained in specialized assessments like IPDE and PCL-R.
  • Passionate about working with individuals with complex mental health needs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate as a team Psychologist within a multidisciplinary team (MDT).
  • Conduct psychological assessments and provide therapy.
  • Develop care plans with the MDT.
  • Evaluate the service and carry out clinical research.

Skills

HCPC registered Psychologist
Experience in complex therapies (Schema Focused, EMDR, CAT, DBT)
Knowledge and experience of forensic risk assessment
Ability to treat self-harm and aggression

We are looking for a Forensic, Clinical, or Counselling Psychologist who is passionate about helping people with complex mental health needs to join our rehabilitation service.

Please note this role is also open to Newly Qualified Psychologists and applicants due to qualify within 6 months.

Cygnet Delfryn Lodge provides a flexible mental health rehabilitation service for women, including High-Support Inpatient Rehabilitation (Level 2) and Community Rehabilitation (Level 1). This dual-level model ensures women receive the support they need while developing independence at their own pace. Many women come from multiple placement breakdowns, failed treatment programs, or are stepping down from secure settings.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Work 40 hours a week
  • Collaborate as a team Psychologist within a multidisciplinary team (MDT)
  • Conduct psychological assessments & provide therapy to individuals & groups
  • Develop care plans with the MDT
  • Provide training & supervision to colleagues, and consultation to teams
  • Evaluate the service, contribute to its development, and carry out clinical research
  • Disseminate outcomes via conference presentations and publications

We are looking for someone who is...

  • A HCPC registered Psychologist
  • Candidates due to qualify within 6 months are encouraged to apply
  • Preferably trained in complex therapies such as Schema Focused, EMDR, CAT, and DBT
  • Knowledge and experience of forensic risk assessment
  • Trained in specialized assessments such as IPDE and PCL-R
  • Passionate about working with people with complex mental health needs
  • Capable of treating difficulties such as self-harm, physical & verbal aggression, history of sexual offending, and substance issues
