Job Title: Practitioner Psychologist

Location: Underley Gardens School – Kirkby Lonsdale, LA6 2DZ

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary: Up to £70,000 (pro rata, DOE) plus £3000 Welcome Bonus (payable as one payment of £1,500 after one month and another of £1,500 upon completing your probation). T&C's apply.

Contract: Permanent, Term-Time only (full-time or part-time considered; please get in touch for options).

Essential: Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.

We’re looking for a Practitioner Psychologist. This role offers a chance to support and develop our clinical services, working closely with the Lead Clinician to promote neurodiversity and intersectionality-affirming therapeutic support.

About the role

As we expand our clinical service, we have an opportunity for a Practitioner Psychologist to join our Clinical Team. You will work collaboratively to deliver assessments and interventions for our pupils, contributing to the growth of our clinical provision and making a difference through a holistic, therapeutic approach.

You will manage a caseload alongside other clinicians, supported by our experienced Clinical Team, and contribute to staff training, consultation, and reflective practice. This role requires resilience, enthusiasm, a therapeutic approach, decision-making skills, and workload management.

We strive for excellence in supporting our pupils, aiming to empower vulnerable young people to be happy and independent.

Essential Criteria
  • Doctoral degree in Psychology (Clinical, Counselling, Forensic, Educational)
  • Registered with the HCPC and your professional body
  • Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, including complex trauma, mental health needs, behaviors of concern
  • Ability to work collaboratively with partners
  • Sensitivity and conflict resolution skills
  • Continuing professional development relevant to the setting
  • Post-qualification experience with adults
  • Full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle
  • Skills in data management for service development and projects
