About the role

The post is located within Middleton Fells, Kirkby Lonsdale, and involves travelling to other residential homes within South Cumbria. You will join a well-established clinical team to facilitate MDT working, including Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and an Assistant Psychologist. The clinical work collaborates closely with the wider care team to enable effective multi-disciplinary working, maximizing clinical outcomes for the adults supported.

You will work within the service policies, procedures, MDT, and Clinical Governance structures to support service development and quality assurance.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Post-graduate doctoral qualification in Psychology (clinical, counselling, forensic)
  • Registered with HCPC and BPS
  • Experience supervising Assistant Psychologists
  • Experience working with children and adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism, including complex trauma, mental health needs, and behaviors of concern
  • Ability to work collaboratively with key partners
  • Sensitivity and conflict resolution skills
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Relevant post-qualification experience with adults and children
  • Experience in lecturing, teaching, or training
  • Full UK driving license and access to a car
  • Skills in data management and analysis for service development and projects
