Location: Meadowcroft School, Wakefield, WF1 4AD

Salary: Up to £65,000 (FTE, DOE) + £3,000 Welcome Bonus
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday (Part-time considered)
Contract: Permanent | Term-time only or full-time flexibility available

The Role

As a Practitioner Psychologist, you\'ll work closely with the education team to provide specialist psychological assessment and intervention to pupils aged 5-19. Many of the young people have experienced developmental trauma, are neurodivergent, or have social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

You\'ll manage your own caseload with the support of a clinical supervisor and site lead, contributing to individual therapy plans, staff training, consultation, and school-wide development initiatives.

Requirements

Essential:

  • HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
  • Doctoral-level qualification in Clinical, Counselling, Forensic, or Educational Psychology (or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or neurodiverse needs
  • Skilled in assessment, formulation, and therapeutic interventions
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport

Desirable:

  • Experience working in education settings
  • Supervision experience
  • Training in trauma-informed or evidence-based approaches
