A leading mental health organization in Corwen is seeking a HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologist. You will provide specialist psychological services and evaluations for children and young males with complex emotional and behavioral issues. The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in psychology and experience with assessment and interventions. Job Description
Role of Department

The clinical team works within the wider integrated team of professionals at Branas Isaf, applying psychological knowledge and expertise to service users and professionals within the group (e.g., education and care staff). The primary focus is supporting children and young males aged 10-18 who present with complex interpersonal, emotional, and behavioural issues. Many of these young people have experienced significant trauma.

The Clinical Team Responsibilities Include:
  1. Providing a specialist psychology service for all clients of the service.
  2. Offering psychologically informed consultation to teams, providing training, and assisting with service development.
  3. Conducting psychometric and risk assessments and developing formulations.
  4. Providing and evaluating individual and group-based interventions, including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy.
  5. Providing specialist psychological research expertise to the service.
