Job Title: Practice Supervisor

Department: Children's Early Help and Safeguarding Services
Grade: 12 | Reports to: Team Manager - Locality

Role Overview:

The Practice Supervisor leads and supports Social Workers through supervision, quality assurance, and guidance. They ensure strong, research-based practice focused on improving outcomes for children and families.

Who You'll Work With:
  • Social Workers & Team Managers

  • Senior Leaders & Partners (Schools, Health, Community)

  • Children, Young People & Families

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support Social Workers

  • Promote best practice using systemic approaches

  • Lead on complex casework and planning

  • Support staff learning and development

  • Collaborate with partners to improve child outcomes

What You'll Need:
  • Strong background in child protection & safeguarding

  • Skilled in case analysis, risk management, and leadership

  • Clear, respectful communicator with team-building skills

Qualifications:
  • Degree in Social Work (CQSW, DipSW or equivalent)

  • Registered with Social Work England

  • Advanced/leadership training in social work (or working toward)
