A local healthcare practice in St. Neots is seeking a part-time Practice Nurse to join their team. The role requires NMC registration and offers flexible hours (16-24 per week). Responsibilities include managing chronic diseases, providing vaccinations, and assisting with minor surgeries. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and a commitment to high-quality patient care. Training in respiratory care can be provided.

Buckden and Little Paxton Surgeries are looking for a motivatedand enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join our friendly team. The successfulcandidate must be NMC registered. Experience in respiratory care (eg asthma andCOPD management) is desirable, however for the right candidate we are willingto provide training and support to develop this specialism.
Responsible to the Partners (Clinically) and the Practice Managers(Administratively)

Duties andResponsibilities
The practice nurse will provide nursing treatments topatients in the following areas;
Provide general nursing services in line withpractice protocols
Chronic disease management
Vaccinations and immunisations (adults andchild)
Administration of medication via injections (S/Cand I/M)
Wound care and management
Cervical cytology (if trained)
Telephone advice
Blood samples, Swabs, Cervical Screening
Health promotion
Travel Health Advice
Ear Care
Emergency Management Anaphylaxis andrespiratory techniques
To assist GPs with any minor surgery /operations, as required
Family planning / womens health
Supporting QOF and other practice targets
Chaperoning
The above list is not exhaustive and it may be necessary toundertake work as may be required by the practice to maintain a high standardand efficient service to our patients.
We have a hard-working, friendly and dedicated team of 4 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GPs, 3 Registrars, 1 ANP, a highly skilled nursing team and outstanding administrative support teams. We run a total triage appointment system triaged by the duty doctor. Our dispensing practice serves over 10,500 patients across two sites.
All staff members at the practice are supported by the Partners and the Practice Managers. We are a training practice CQC rated outstanding. We are members of the A1 Network PCN and we run an NHS Community Dermatology, Lymphoedema and Vasectomy clinics for the ICB.

Ensure the treatment rooms are safe and clean
Maintain treatment room equipment and stock
Ability to work flexibly to support the wholenursing team and met the needs of the service
Adhere to infection control policies andprocedures
Understanding of child health / safeguardingchildren
Mental Health appropriate referral mechanisms
Ensure accurate notes and documentation ofpatient records
Attend and participate in both team and practicemeetings, where required
Ensure health and safety regulations arecomplied with
Ensure the quality and diversity of patients,carers and colleagues is respected
