Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board Nantwich Practice is seeking a proactive Pharmacy Technician to join our established team. You will support repeat prescribing duties, add medications from discharge letters to patient records, and serve as the first point of contact for patients requesting repeat medication.

You will liaise with Community Pharmacists regarding vulnerable patients, assist in Medicines Management initiatives, and participate in immunisation campaigns once trained.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician with GPhC registration and relevant practice experience.
• Level 3 Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent.
• BTEC/NVQ level 3 qualifications in pharmaceutical services.

Responsibilities

• Undertake repeat prescribing duties for Appliance and enhanced monitoring prescriptions.
• Provide first point of contact for patients requesting repeat medication.
• Add medication from discharge letters to patients' records and refer to the Practice Pharmacist when appropriate.
• Liaise with Community Pharmacists regarding vulnerable patients.
• Undertake Medicines Management Prescribing scheme initiatives.
• Assist in monthly PPA claims.
• Undertake an immunisation course to participate in flu campaigns.
