Job summary

NHS Scotland in Fife is offering a Band 7 Practice Pharmacist position within the Primary Care Pharmacy Team. Full-time (36 hours) with options for part-time; a Foundation Pharmacist role (Band 6) is available for suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Foundation (Band 6) or Practice (Band 7) Pharmacist experience
• Experience in primary care pharmacy is desirable
• Vigilance for patient safety and high quality care

Responsibilities

• Work with GP practices to deliver high-impact pharmaceutical care
• Deliver structured medication reviews and polypharmacy reviews
• Provide medicines reconciliation and prescribing support (acute and repeat)
• Engage in independent prescribing activity where qualified
• Support safe, effective and cost-efficient prescribing
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams in primary care and community settings
