Job description

Practice Payroll Position - Full or Part-Time! Flexible Working, Office-Based

Payroll Officer

Full-Time or Part-Time and Permanent
Location: Carmarthen
Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 depending on experience

Our client is seeking a team member interested in a 3/4 or 5 day week! The role offers flexibility, making it suitable for those balancing childcare, study, or seeking better work/life balance.

We are looking for someone with payroll experience (end-to-end experience is preferred but not essential) to join a busy Payroll Bureau. You will provide comprehensive payroll and pension services for a diverse range of businesses, from sole traders and partnerships to larger companies.

This role may suit someone new to practice payroll but eager to expand their experience. You will collaborate with colleagues and senior members across various businesses, managing different pay cycles and ensuring excellent customer service. Your responsibilities include preparing accurate payroll records, ensuring timely payments via designated software, complying with HMRC legislation (including RTI and Auto Enrolment), processing BACS payments, and meeting chargeable hours and recovery targets.

The ideal candidate will excel in customer service and be comfortable liaising with a diverse range of clients and contacts. Experience in payroll will make this second nature, but training will be provided to transition into practice payroll.

Salary depends on experience; the range provided is based on a 37-hour week. A minimum of 6 months' payroll experience in a work environment is required.
