Job description

Opportunity for a registered Practice Nurse with Primary Care experience to become a member of our excellent clinical team here at Seven Dials Medical Centre. Responsible for the day to day running of the treatment room, organising your clinics and ensuring all patients receive the best possible nursing care. You will be focusing on preventative care, health promotion and management of long term conditions for patients across all ages and cohorts.

Main duties of the job include providing assessment, screening, treatment services, and health education advice. These services include:

• Dietary advice
• Blood pressure checks
• Urinalysis
• Health screening
• Dressings
• ECG
• Phlebotomy
• Routine injections
• Contraception
• Minor injuries
• Routine immunisations and vaccinations
• Removal of sutures / clips
• Baby immunisations
• Assisting with the fitting of IUCD / IUS
• First registration checks / health surveillance / general health advice
• Organising and coordinating the provision of nursing services for the practice to include the delegation of duties to other members of the practice nurse team as appropriate
• Providing general and specific health screenings to the practice patients (within agreed protocols) with referral to other members of the primary and secondary health care team as necessary

Seven Dials Medical Centre proudly serves just over 7,000 patients in Brighton and Hove and has 14 members of staff including 3 GP Partners, an ACP, Practice Nurse and HCA. We work closely with the PCN to offer patients access to Social Prescribers, Mental Health Co-ordinators, Care Co-ordinators and a Pharmacy team.
