Practice Nurse

Location: Rothes Medical Practice, Pitteuchar Health Centre, Glamis Centre, Glenrothes, Fife, KY7 4RH

Position: Permanent

Hours: 17-20 hours per week over 4 days

Due to retirement, Rothes Medical Practice in Glenrothes, Fife, is seeking a Practice Nurse to join our medical team. The practice serves approximately 8,800 patients and is based at Pitteuchar Health Centre, a purpose-built site conveniently located near the A92.

We are committed to multidisciplinary team working. Our current team includes four GP Partners, SCOTGEM GP, 3 ANPs, two Practice Nurses, a Practice Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, supported by an attached staff team comprising a Health Care Support Worker, Treatment Room Nurse, NHS Fife Mental Health Nurse, Health Visitor, District Nursing teams, NHS Fife Pharmacists, and an experienced administration team.

The ideal candidate will be friendly, motivated, and possess excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include managing chronic diseases, autonomously running clinics for COPD, Asthma, Diabetes, Hypertension, CVD, and promoting healthy lifestyles. The role also involves Cervical Cytology.

Previous experience in a Primary Care setting is desirable but not essential. Willingness to complete the General Practice Nurse course, delivered by NES and supported by the practice, is required.
