A leading healthcare practice in Felixstowe is seeking a Practice Nurse to deliver primary care services in a supportive environment. The role includes responsibilities in chronic disease management, immunizations, and patient education. With a focus on professional development, this position offers flexible hours ranging from 16 to 24 per week. Ideal candidates will have NMC registration and relevant qualifications, contributing to a collaborative team dedicated to patient care.

As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering primary care services to our diverse patient population. You will work autonomously while being fully supported by a well-established team. Your responsibilities will include:
We value flexibility, and whilst we're looking for 16-24 hours per week, we ask for some adaptability to allow for training, holiday cover, and occasional other colleague absences.
Provide general and specific healthassessment and screening to the practice population, with referral to general practitioners as necessary.
Advise patients on generalhealth and minor ailments with referral to general practitioners as necessary
Provide nursing treatments topatients in participation with general practitioners or independently to agreedprotocols.
Implement a systematicapproach to care, to include efficient and accurate record keeping for thebenefit and safety of patients/clients, continuity of care and professionalsecurity.
Assist with the developmentof work practices within agreed policies to provide the optimum standards ofcare.

We are part of Suffolk Primary Care, a group of seven GP practices across Suffolk, offering extensive support and networking opportunities.
Toprovide nursing services to patients on the practice list, includingassessment, advice within the professional competence of the post holder,screening and treatment. Extra training will be provided for new dutiesundertaken and required. The post holder will work in accordance with NMC Codeof Conduct.Providing care directly to patientswithout referral via another senior nurse or doctor. To undertake generalnursing duties within the nursing team, including:
Cervical cytologyscreening
Chronic diseasemanagement particularly respiratory
Childhood andadult immunisations
Wound care anddressings
Contraceptionadvice and pill checks
Diabetes withWarwick diploma or similar
Immunisations and BabyImmunisations
Health promotionand patient education
