Occupational Advisor as appropriate. To assist in undertaking workplace visits with the Senior Occupational Health Advisor. To be aware of the need to adhere to the Trusts policy on valuing equality and diversity in theworkplace. To ensure contemporaneous record keeping at all times and in line with the Trust policy ondocumentation. To maintain up to date and comprehensive records, observing confidentiality of the clientsinformation at all times and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations and Accessto Health Records Act. To follow local safety and occupational health policies and to report all accidents, adverse incidentsand complaints as required by these policies. To ensure that all duties as a service provider and employee are carried out with due regard toKings College Hospitals Equal Opportunities policy. Participate in Trust and Division initiatives to develop nursing practice and support change.Education and Research To be aware of current research and the possible implications to practice in the delivery of occupationalhealth services both on Kings College Hospitals sites and private business sites To update knowledge in the light of current research and practice. To liaise with appropriate members of teaching staff, link lecturer practitioner. To contribute to and participate in multi-disciplinary educational events.Leadership To act as a role model at all times. To exercise leadership where appropriate. To anticipate day to day staffing problems and take appropriate action in conjunction with the Practice/ClinicNurse and Senior Occupational Health Advisor to ensure good standards of care for the client are maintainedat all times. To keep Senior Occupational Health Advisor informed of significant changes in the day to day situation inthe department. To observe a general duty of care for the health, safety and well-being of self, work colleagues, visitors andclients within the Occupational Health Department, in addition to any specific risk management associatedwith this post.Personal professional development To keep up to date with NMC, Trust and Care Group policies and guidelines and adhere to these at alltimes. To be a fully active and committed member of the multidisciplinary team operating within the Divisions. To demonstrate an insight into own professional development, contributing to the process of identifying owneducational and clinical needs in conjunction with the Senior Occupational Health Nurse Advisor. Participate in own Individual Performance Review. To ensure own educational commitment is at least sufficient to maintain revalidation requirements and toensure own mandatory training certificates are current, in liaison with the Senior Occupational Health NurseAdvisor.. To work within and accept responsibility for maintaining agreed levels of clinical competence and ensureclinical competency as new technologies are introduced.General The post holder has a general duty of care for their own health, safety and wellbeing and that of workcolleagues, visitors and patients within the hospital, in addition to any specific risk management or clinicalgovernance accountabilities associated with this post.
