Job summary

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a nurse to join the practices nursing team, providing and monitoring care under supervision to improve safety and quality of care. You will support MDT integration and supervise trainee nursing associates and healthcare assistants.

Duties include recording vital signs, venepuncture, ECGs, immunisations and long-term condition clinics. After training, cervical screening and vaccinations may be provided with annual refreshers, promoting

Qualifications

• Provide and monitor care under direct or indirect supervision.
• Develop relationships across the MDT to support integration of roles.
• Attend update training yearly and maintain competency in core nursing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform and record clinical observations such as blood pressure, temperature, respirations, pulse and ECGs.
• Offer immunisations and cervical screening after appropriate training.
• Support training nursing associates, healthcare assistants and learners.
• Promote health and wellbeing and signpost to local community services.
