Job summary

Hartwood Healthcare is a GP practice based at Hartcliffe Health Centre in South Bristol, seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join the clinical team on a fixed-term basis. The post offers up to 30 hours per week with a diverse patient population.

You will perform routine clinics, long-term condition reviews, wound care, venepuncture, ECGs, immunisations and cervical screening, while promoting health and wellbeing within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and eligible to practice.

Responsibilities

• Routine Practice Nurse clinics and appointments.
• Long-term condition reviews and management within your scope of practice.
• Wound care, including removal of sutures and staples.
• Venepuncture and ECGs.
• Immunisations and vaccinations.
• Cervical screening, where appropriately trained.
• Health promotion and preventative healthcare.
• Supporting patients with self-management and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Requesting and reviewing investigations within your scope of practice.
• Maintaining accurate clinical records.
• Recognising when patients require further clinical assessment and referring appropriately.
• Supporting safeguarding and infection prevention and control.
• Working collaboratively with the wider clinical team.
• Contributing to clinical audit, quality improvement and practice development.
