We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team to provide maternity cover for approximately 12 months. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and support within our practice. You will be responsible for assisting with various clinical tasks, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care in a welcoming environment. The closing date for this job is 23rd May 2025. Duties - Conduct patient assessments and record medical histories accurately.
- Administer vaccinations and medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist in minor surgical procedures and wound care management.
- Provide health education and advice to patients regarding their conditions and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the medical team promptly.
- Participate in health promotion activities within the community.
Requirements - Qualified nurse with valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to support effective patient care.
- Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably within a primary care environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- A compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is advantageous but not essential.
- Diploma in asthma and diabetes
