Job description

This friendly, forward-thinking GP Surgery is seeking a full-time or part-time Practice Nurse for 37 hours per week to join our existing hardworking Nurse team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, trained individual who will contribute to the ongoing development of this well-established practice. You will need to demonstrate:

  • Appropriate clinical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with patients
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Organisational and administrative skills
  • The ability to learn new clinical software
  • Experience in chronic disease management (asthma, COPD, diabetes)

This practice, run by 3 Partners and 6 Doctors, currently has a patient list of 11,500 and operates from modern premises.

Main duties of the job
  • Providing appropriate clinical care
  • Building strong interpersonal relationships with patients
  • Working efficiently under pressure
  • Managing organisational and administrative tasks
  • Learning and utilising new clinical software
  • Managing chronic diseases such as asthma, COPD, and diabetes
