Practice Nurse (16-35 hours per week, Part Time or Full Time)

Job Summary

Healthii People are recruiting a Practice Nurse on behalf of a welcoming, rural GP practice based in East Worcester, serving around 6,000 patients. The practice prides itself on its supportive team culture and consistently positive patient feedback.

The role involves delivering high-quality, patient-centred nursing care within a small, collaborative primary care team. Experience in Diabetes management would be advantageous.

Salary: Up to £45,000 FTE (pro rata depending on contracted hours and experience).

Main Duties
  • Manage and monitor long-term conditions (e.g. Diabetes).
  • Provide immunisations for adults and children, travel health advice, and vaccinations.
  • Carry out cervical cytology, ear care, wound management, venepuncture, ECGs, and suture removal.
  • Support patients with minor illnesses.
  • Assist with minor surgery clinics.
  • Deliver health promotion and lifestyle advice through clinics and opportunistic care.
  • Respond to medical emergencies (CPR, anaphylaxis).
  • Ensure infection control, clinical safety, and quality standards are maintained.
  • Contribute to service development and clinical governance initiatives.
Person Specification
Essential:
  • Registered General Nurse (Diploma level or above).
  • Minimum 2 years post-registration experience.
  • Experience in chronic disease management and primary care.
  • Clinical skills: childhood immunisation, cervical screening, phlebotomy, ear care.
  • Strong communication and IT skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly, independently, and as part of a team.
Desirable:
  • Experience in diagnosing and treating minor illness.
  • Diabetes management experience.
