Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse with experience in primary care.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
• Up-to-date immunisation and cytology training desirable.
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for conditions like asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension.
• Perform wound care, dressings and treat in the room.
• Administer immunisations for adults and children where trained.
• Undertake cytology-related smear tests where trained.
• Complete NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments.
• Manage test results, recalls and routine follow-ups.

You will contribute to high-quality patient care through a balance of clinical reviews, preventative health work and treatment room activity. The practice offers well-organised workflows, supportive nursing leadership and a clear structure for daily clinic delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting chronic disease reviews for patients with asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension
• Performing wound care, dressings and treatment room duties
• Carrying out adult and children’s immunisations (if trained)
• Undertaking smear tests (cytology-trained nurses)
• Completing NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments
• Managing results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks
• Documenting clearly in the clinical system

Requirements

• NMC-registered Nurse with experience in primary care
• Up-to-date immunisation and cytology training desirable
• Confident in chronic disease management and treatment room-work
• Good patient communication and clinical reasoning

Working Pattern
