Due to retirement, we are recruiting aPractice Nurseto join our team at Dingwall Medical Group.

We are a twelve doctor practice, based in the Health Centre in Dingwall, and we cover a large geographical area from the western edge of the Black Isle, Evanton in the North, West to Achnasheen village and South as far as Muir of Ord. We have almost 12,000 patients and the doctors are supported by the practice team that includes Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants as well as a large administration team, who are all here to support you.

As one of our Practice Nurses, you are part of the Practice clinical team and will assist in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care. Duties and responsibilities include;

  • Long-term condition management
    • Diabetes
    • Asthma
    • COPD
    • CVD
  • Cervical Screening
  • Contraception
  • ECG recording
  • Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses
  • Surgical equipment stock rotation
  • Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions
  • Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients’ health and well-being

We are looking for a confident registered nurse with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who is organised and has good IT skills. The ideal candidate will be a team player and be able to use their initiative and work under pressure with a flexible and adaptable attitude. Experience in chronic disease management is preferred, but not essential. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Dingwall Medical Group is unable to provide candidates with a certificate of sponsorship (CoS).

Pay rate is £19.50 to £20.11 per hour (under review)

This is a part-time job for 14.5 hours per week over two days (Thursday and Friday). Working hours are 09.00 – 17:15.
