A community healthcare provider in Sheffield is seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to provide care for 16,500 patients. The role involves managing chronic diseases, vaccinations, and ensuring compliance with practice protocols. The successful candidate will work at main and branch surgeries and will be supported in further training and clinical development.
We are looking to recruit a Practice Nurse to work 25 hours a week to compliment our strong clinical team. Providing Practice Nurse duties for our 16,500 patients.
Existing experience of working in a primary care environment, management of chronic disease, all vaccinations and immunisations, and be a cytology sample taker. Being an independent prescriber would also be an advantage.
Further training and clinical development will be encouraged and supported.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake their duties at the main surgery in Penistone and at our branch sited at Silkstone and Thurgoland.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
We are a long-established, friendly and supportive GP Training Practice based in Penistone, we have a patient list size of around 16,500, with a team of 6 GP partners, 11 Salaried GPS, ANP, 4 Practice Nurses and 4 Healthcare Assistant and an experienced Administration, Dispensing and Reception Team who offer a wide range of support. We use EMIS web clinical system along with and other clinical systems.

The nurse will promote their professional role inaccordance with the NMC code of Professional Conduct & ensure thatall Practice policies and protocols are complied with. To assist with the care of patients physical, personal, psychologicaland social needs, ensuring that a highstandard of patient care is achieved and carried out within a safe workenvironment. To assist in providing comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation and evaluations of patientcare. To participate in the identification, monitoring and evaluation ofpatient care needs to provide accurateinformation for the planning and delivery of care. To participate in training opportunities and appraisal as provided, toensure skills and competence aremaintained, developed and updated to promote improved patient care andstaff development. To develop effective relationships with staff, patients and relativesin the pursuit of a high standard of patientcare and to help identify ways in which patientcare can be improved
