Are you a qualified Nurse looking for a career within General Practice? We are looking for a Practice Nurse to join our expanding team.

Hours: Full or Part-Time

Location: Salisbury City, Porton and Winterslow

Pay: Based on experience

Three Chequers Medical Practice is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Practice Nurse with a strong emphasis on good teamwork and flexibility. Working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment, the successful candidate will deliver high-quality nursing care that supports the health and wellbeing of our local community. The ideal candidate would be an experienced Practice Nurse with excellent clinical skills. However, registered nurses with an interest in Practice Nursing may apply with the possibility of undertaking The Foundation in General Practice Nursing Course.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities

  • Competently deliver treatment room tasks, including baby immunisations, travel and cervical screening
  • Provide chronic disease management (e.g. Diabetes, Asthma, COPD) in line with national and local guidelines
  • Support health promotion, lifestyle advice and preventative care
  • Assist with the delivery of QOF and enhanced services
  • Contribute to safeguarding, infection control and clinical governance compliance

What we are looking for

  • Registered Nurse with a current NMC registration
  • Experience in a primary care or community setting is desirable
  • Excellent communication, clinical judgement and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and development
  • Full clean driving licence with access to a car to deliver clinics at our branch sites
  • Availability to work between the hours of 8.00am - 6.30pm, Monday to Friday and be willing to work at Saturday on a pro-rota basis
