Job description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated part-time practice nurse to join the team at St James Medical Centre, working 27.5 hours per week over 3 days. We are based in leafy Rawtenstall, in the valley of Rossendale, close to good motorway links.

The successful candidate will be part of a team providing practice nursing services to our patient population. Main duties include:

1. Managing Chronic Disease
2. Performing Cytology Testing
3. Running vaccine clinics such as childhood vaccines and seasonal vaccines
4. Performing monitoring tests such as BP, ECG, Spirometry, and blood tests
5. Vaccine management
6. Infection Prevention and Control
7. Involvement in achieving QOF targets and other targets as required

We have a population of 8,500 patients. We are a friendly, organized, forward-thinking practice. We benefit from several ARRS staff clinics, including PA, TNA, Mental Health Practitioner, First Contact Physio, and Health and Wellbeing Coach. We are a training practice, fostering a supportive culture for our staff. Our excellent clinical and administrative teams, along with effective processes, ensure smooth clinic operations.
