Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Practice Nurse to work for a GP practice in Oswestry. You will deliver chronic disease reviews, wound care, routine nursing clinics and treatment room procedures in a structured primary care environment.

Qualifications

• NMC-registered nurse with primary care experience
• Immunisation and cytology training desirable
• Strong chronic disease management skills
• Good patient communication and clinical reasoning
• Familiar with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision
• Enhanced DBS clearance

Responsibilities

• Conduct chronic disease reviews for asthma, COPD, diabetes or hypertension
• Perform wound care, dressings and treatment room duties
• Carry out adult and children’s immunisations (if trained)
• Undertaking smear tests (cytology-trained nurses)
• Completing NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments
• Managing results, recalls and routine follow-up tasks
• Documenting clearly in the clinical system
