A well-established medical practice in Morpeth is seeking an experienced practice nurse. This role involves providing high-quality care, managing chronic diseases, and working closely with a dedicated team. Applicants should possess an RGN qualification and maintain current NMC registration. The position is part-time, offering flexibility with a strong emphasis on patient care and practice development.
Around 24 hours per week. Salary dependent on experience and skill set. NHS pension scheme. Applicants must be committed to providing an excellent standard of care to our patients, be enthusiastic, self-motivated and a team player.
The Main Duties Of The Role Include:
Scots Gap Medical Group is a well-established practice based in Scots Gap with a branch surgery at Stamfordham. We cover a large rural demographic with an increasing list size. We are looking for an experienced practice nurse to join our team. Our team has a strong work ethic, committed to providing the best possible service to our patients.
Job responsibilities: To provide high quality care based on the needs of the practice population which includes treatment, screening, preventative care and patient education. To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate care holistically. To deliver care in accordance with agreed practice protocols and guidelines. Assist in developing new services and complementing and extending the range of services offered to patients.
Key responsibilities include:
Responsible to the Partners for clinical issues and the Practice Manager for administrative issues. Work closely with the team, liaising with admin/reception, District Nurses, Health Visitors, Community Matrons, School Nurses, secondary care and social services. Attend monthly multi-disciplinary meetings.
Maintain annual registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council; work within NMC guidelines. Be accountable for own practice, seek training when needed, maintain accurate records per NMC, and maintain CPD and re-validation. Ensure work-related car insurance coverage.
Attend and contribute to internal and external meetings; participate in Practice Development and planning; attend courses at appraisal. Cooperate with research within the practice.
Be aware of Health and Safety and hazardous conditions; follow fire procedures; maintain a safe environment for staff, patients and visitors.
