Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting the practice staff, and ensuring that patients receive the best possible treatment. This position requires a strong understanding of the practice nursing duties and a commitment to providing exceptional care in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations.
  • Cervical Screening, Child and Adult immunisations, Long Term Condition Management (Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Mental Health Physical Reviews, ECG).
  • Administer vaccinations, injections, and other medications as prescribed by physicians.
  • Provide patient education on health management, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Attend multidisciplinary meetings as required.
  • Monitor patients' progress and arrange any follow up care or assessments as required.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety and infection control regulations within the practice environment.

Beacon Medical Centre is based in Higher Blackley. We have a friendly multi-disciplinary team, including GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, a Nurse and HCAs. We have a list size of 4500 and are a high QOF achieving practice.
