Job description

We are looking to recruit a part-time practice nurse. We have 11,000 patients and operate from a purpose-built building that provides a high standard of care. We seek a motivated and productive nurse to join our practice team and deliver excellent patient care. Experience in practice nursing, good communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Main duties of the job

Practice Nurse

Responsibilities include providing nursing services such as treatment, screening, and advice within your professional competence. You will work independently in the absence of a GP, manage the treatment room, maintain supplies, and ensure sterilization of instruments. You should be empathetic to the diverse ethnic groups within our patient community and possess strong communication skills. Assisting doctors as required.

We are a team of 22 staff based in Wimbledon, part of the North West PCN group. We are looking for a part-time nurse to join our team.

Person Specification

Qualifications

• RGN qualification
• Minimum 2 years post-registration experience
• Desirable: experience in diabetes management, childhood immunizations, asthma management, travel immunizations
• Experience with EMIS system

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of UKCC Professional Code/Standards and clinical governance
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and clinical audits
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in computer searches
