Job summary

Prentis Medical Centre in Streatham is seeking a dedicated Practice Nurse to join our friendly GP team. You will provide high-quality care across immunisations, wound care, chronic disease management and health checks within a multidisciplinary setting.

You will work to NMC guidelines, support safeguarding and public health initiatives, and contribute to audits and quality improvement initiatives. A compassionate team player with excellent communication skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experience working in a GP practice or primary care setting.
• Competent in cervical smears, wound dressing and chronic disease management.
• Phlebotomy trained.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with QOF and clinical audits.
• Travel health training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using clinical systems (EMIS).
• Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.

• Assist in training and mentoring healthcare assistants where appropriate.
