A healthcare provider is excited to hire a Practice Nurse in Gerrards Cross. You will handle various nursing duties, from immunisations to assisting GPs. Ideal candidates will be registered with the NMC, exhibit compassion, and possess strong organisational skills. This role offers a chance to support chronic disease management in a caring environment.
We have an exciting oppurtunity for a Practice Nurse/ Treatment Room Nurse to join our experienced Practice Nurse Team.
The successful candidate will hold NMC registration. We are seeking a qualified Nurse who is enthusiastic, approachable, compassionate, organised and confident to work unsupervised in a treatment room.
An enhanced DBS check will be required for this position. This posting is not open to candidates from outside the UK as we are not able to offer visa sponsorship.
The role comprises general nursing support including: adult & childhood immunisation, BP reviews, cervical cytology, ECG's, health promotion, phlebotomy and wound care. An interest in one or more areas of chronic disease management would be welcomed.
The Misbourne practice operates across twosites (St Peter and St Giles) with approximately 12000 registered patients. The practice population isrelatively stable with a high proportion of middle-aged and elderly population,as well as a good proportion of young families with children. We have been atraining and teaching practice for many years with current focus only on GPtraining.

Cytology
Childhood Imms
Other imms and vaccs
Wound care / Doppler
Suture removal
ECGs
Childhood immunisations
Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate
Assisting GPs with minor surgery
Interest in Diabetes/COPD
Maintaining and cleaning equipment
Maintaining Nurses rooms, stocking and rotating items as required
Support and organise vaccine clinics such as the Flu and Covid
Ordering of vaccinations and maintaining stock levels
Participation in administrative systems in the Practice
Maintaining accurate patient records
Attend and participate in any Practice meetings when required
Any other delegated duties appropriate to the post
General Nursing duties as required
Experience of Long Term Condition Managment would be desirable but not essential.
As a member of our team you will be supported by a full complement of clinical and non-clinical staff. A basic knowledge of EMIS web would be an advantage but full training will be given.
