A rural medical practice is seeking an experienced Practice Nurse in Daventry. You will assist doctors with minor operations and provide patient care including phlebotomy and immunisations. The role requires you to be RGN qualified and have strong interpersonal skills. Competitive part-time work is offered, with a focus on community health in a supportive team environment.
We are a rural practice in beautiful Northamptonshire countryside. We are on the borders of Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire. We have 8300 patients, you will be working alongside two other nurses and a highly experienced HCA. We are looking for a Practice Nurse to provide excellent care to our patients to include assisting doctors with minor operations, coil and implant insertions as well as the usual Practice Nurse duties.
We would like you to work two days per week, each Tuesday and then a choice between Thursday or Friday
We are looking for an experienced nurse who is able to provide phlebotomy, wound dressing, taking BP readings, administering vaccinations, advice on weight control, dealing with specimens, offering contraceptive advice.
We are a small rural practice with a very close team. The doctors are always available to offer advice. We work very closely to offer the best level of healthcare to our patients.
We are looking for a qualified Practice Nurse. You will be RGN qualified.
Provide advice to patients on a range of health conditions and minor ailments referring to other members of the practice team as necessary
Perform investigatory procedures
Assist with minor operations
Assist with running coil/implant clinics
Perform cervical smears
Take bloods
Deal with patient specimens
Ear Syringing
Microsuction
Applying and removing dressings
Suture removal
Taking accurate notes using EMIS clinical system
Able to recognise and treat anaphylaxis according to UK guidelines
Able to preform CPR according to UK guidelines
