Blackwood Medical Group in Caerphilly is seeking a motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly team. You will provide patient-centred care, including vaccinations, travel health advice, child immunisations and wound care.

Training will be provided, with a focus on chronic disease management and a multidisciplinary approach. Part-time role with 5 weeks annual leave, pension, free parking, and no weekend work.

Formación

• Registered nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experience in primary care or general practice is desirable but training will be provided.

Job summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and reliable Practice Nurse with excellent communication and clinical skills to join our well-established, friendly and innovative practice. As a practice nurse you will play a key role in providing patient centred care, including:

• Administering vaccinations, immunisations, and travel health advice
• Child immunisations
• Providing wound care, dressings, and other minor procedures
• Supporting health promotion and lifestyle advice initiatives

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated individual with the following qualifications and skills:

• Registered Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration
• Previous experience in a primary care or general practice setting is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
• Chronic disease management ie Diabetes, Respiratory etc advantage but not essential as training will be provided
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A patient-focused approach and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Good timekeeping essential
