What Your Typical Day Looks Like:

• Delivering safe, effective, and evidence-based care for all age groups in the practice population
• Running nurse-led clinics and managing long-term conditions such as diabetes, asthma, CHD, and more
• Performing clinical procedures including wound care, immunisations, cervical cytology, phlebotomy, ECGs, spirometry, and NHS Health Checks
• Working independently within your scope of practice, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Using clinical systems efficiently (e.g., SystmOne, ICE, Ardens Templates)
• Supporting QOF delivery and clinical audits
• Upholding safeguarding, infection control, and patient safety protocols
• Participating in meetings, training, and service improvement initiatives
• Mentoring junior colleagues and students as appropriate
  
  

To Be a Successful Practice Nurse You'll Need:

• Registration as an Adult Nurse with the NMC
• Relevant primary care experience or a strong interest in general practice nursing
• Excellent clinical decision-making, communication, and time management skills
• Confidence working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to continuous professional development - we offer preceptorships and support progression from Band 5 through to Band 7
