Job Summary

We are looking to recruit a motivated and committed Practice Nurse to join our supportive, enthusiastic, and friendly team at Eden Court Medical Practice.

Experience in the role of Practice Nurse is essential for this post.

The hours of the post are negotiable for the right candidate, with both full and part-time hours considered. Salary is comparable to Band 6.

We offer a competitive salary with excellent terms and conditions, which will be discussed at the interview. NHS Pension is available.

Main duties of the job

Duties To Include But Not Exhaustive:

• Management of long-term conditions
• Cervical cytology
• Childhood, adult, and travel vaccinations
• Phlebotomy
• Wound care, including suture removal and dressings
• Assisting minor surgery and sexual health clinics
• Stock ordering and control

Person Specification

• UK registered nurse
• Knowledge of Quality Outcome Framework
• Ability to relay clinical information and maintain accurate, comprehensive consultation records
• Proficiency in PC skills, including basic Word, Excel, and email; experience with SystmOne is preferred
• Ability to work in a changing environment and implement change to provide high-quality healthcare
• Full driving license

About Us

We are a well-established training Practice in Castle Vale, Birmingham, with four GP Partners, three salaried doctors, and junior doctors in training, delivering high-quality care to 10,600 patients. Our nursing team includes one part-time Practice Nurse, one Nursing Associate, and two Healthcare Assistants.

Our wider team includes Paramedics, Clinical Pharmacists, PAs, MSK specialists, and Care Coordinators.
