Job summary

Salford is seeking a Practice Manager for the Duty and Assessment Team on a fixed-term 12-month maternity cover. The role involves leading a Social Work team with a focus on quality, outcomes for children and families, and ensuring effective data management.

Hybrid working and a robust training plan are offered. Candidates should have at least 5 years post-qualifying Social Work experience, experience supervising teams, and a strong commitment to Salford’s values and protecting children and

Qualifications

• At least 5 years post-qualifying Social Work experience.
• Experience delivering supervision and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day delivery of all aspects of the Social Work team, with a focus on quality and service improvement.
• Ensure active participation of children, young people, families, and carers; translate lived experiences into plans.
• Maintain documentation, records, and data sharing with robust information systems; respond to complaints.
• Monitor team performance to understand impact on outcomes for children and families; supervise and develop staff.
